My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 3 - Review

As you all know, I'm a big fan of the My Super Psycho Sweet 16 series, and last night, MTV aired it's supposed final installment of the films, and let's just say the final one was the best one.

The movie doesn't give us much characterzation towards the newer characters, but enough to not feel sorry for when they die because they're that annoying. Especially that Nico kid, damn cholo. The characters were all very cliche to most slasher characters in some ways, as well.

The movie doesn't really lag as much as the first two did, with the first kill being in the film within the first 25 minutes, the whole film just kept hitting a higher climax as time went on. The first hour really killed off the obvious victims, leaving the other hour or so for the, what we thought already happened, climax.

The final scene was really deja vu to many 80's slashers, e.g. Happy Birthday To Me, one of the Sleep Away Camp Films, etc. I don't want to give too much away, but Alex has a huge grudge towards Skye, and Scott and Jed made sure that was clear.

Now, the movie did have it's flaws, but I only found there to be one, where the hell are Alex's grandparents on her sweet sixteen?! She was living with her grandparents, but there were no sign of them anywhere. But that's not a big deal because they could've easily been out for dinner or some place like that.

I don't want to give anything away, so I'll end the review by saying that this movie was my favorite of the three films, having the most annoying characters, the most clever, and gorey deaths, and fun twists, this movie is a very fun slasher that stays true the 80's elements that Part 1 lived by.
